Katy Perry’s Hair Deal With ghd Ends, Lawsuits In The Works?

ghd is a British hair company that stands for “good hair day,” but Katy Perry’s hair apparently isn’t looking so hot these days.

According to TMZ, Katy was paid $4.5 million in 2011 to promote ghd for two years, and now that their written contract is up, ghd no longer wants to work with the star because their research shows Europeans just aren’t as interested in Katy anymore, and if they aren’t interested in her, then they won’t be as interested in ghd products.

If the contract ended legitimately, there shouldn’t be an issue to part ways, right? Wrong…Katy’s camp says there was an additional oral agreement to extend her contract for $2 million, but with no supporting documentation, the company behind ghd, Jemella Group, says that’s a lie.

Jemella says Katy’s agent has threatened to sue over the $2 million, so they went to court first to attempt to block Katy’s team from filing.

This certainly is a hairy situation. Whose side of the story do you believe?
